How to Complete My Application FAQs

When you submit your application, you will be able to log in to your account and review your document checklist. These are the documents you are required to submit. These documents usually include: 

• A copy of your passport information page 
• Proof of English proficiency  
• Official academic documents 
• Bank account document (must show a minimum equivalent balance of $41,690 in liquid funds) 
• Financial Affidavit Form

If you are attending an non-U.S. high school, we must receive proof that you have completed an education equivalent to the U.S. senior high school level. If you cannot submit an official copy of your completed, final academic documents, we cannot make an admission decision. 

If you are attending a U.S. high school, we can accept an in-progress transcript to complete your application. We must receive a letter from your school with your expected date of graduation and an in-progress official transcript with your in-progress courses.
You will be required to submit your official, final transcript once it has been issued.  

You must submit all required documents before an admission decision can be made. U.S. federal regulations require all F-1 applicants to submit the required financial documents, passport copy, and proof of English proficiency.
These documents can never be waived.  

We cannot make an admission decision with your unofficial documents.  

You must still submit official documents to meet at least one of the following requirements: 

• Proof of secondary education completion equivalent to the U.S. senior high school level
  OR
• 24 U.S. university-levels credits that we will accept as transfer credit at MSU Denver

Metropolitan State University of Denver does not require the SAT or ACT for admission. They are used primarily to determine level placement for English and Math classes.

We can also accept SAT or ACT test scores to meet the English proficiency requirement.

** You may be required to take a placement test for math and/or English depending on your incoming test scores or completed college coursework. Take a look at the Office of Testing Services Website for more details.

We can update your application to a future term. You just need to complete and submit the International Deferral Form.
Once we receive the form, we can update your application to the new term that you requested (if its available).
