For the fourth year in a row, the College of Business is teaming up with Sticker Giant for the Sticker Giant Sticker Contest! This semester, we’re excited to be working even closer with Sticker Giant, who joined the Brand Marketing class taught by Sally Baalbaki-Yassine on September 25th to kick off the contest alongside CBUS Marketing Coordinator Lindsey Wadle.

During their visit, Sticker Giant shared insider tips on designing stickers, from creating standout designs even if you’re not a graphic designer, to communicating your brand creatively without just relying on a logo. It was a hands-on session full of inspiration and practical advice for students looking to make their mark (literally!) with their sticker designs.

Why This Contest Matters for Brand Marketing Students

This contest is an excellent opportunity for the Brand Marketing class because it gives students hands-on experience in translating a brand into visual assets, a critical skill for any marketing professional. In many organizations, marketing professionals are responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing creative campaigns without a dedicated graphic designer. By participating in the contest, students learn how to communicate a brand effectively through stickers, balancing creativity with messaging, and considering how visuals appeal to different audiences. It’s a chance to think like a marketer and create like a designer, gaining practical experience that directly applies to real-world marketing roles.

The contest is open through October 31st, giving students in the class plenty of time to craft unique stickers that represent CBUS. The winning designs will earn a special prize: a trip to the Sticker Giant factory to see their creations come to life in print.

Once printed, these stickers will be distributed during the Spring semester as part of the College’s marketing efforts, reaching high school students, current students, and alumni. They’re not just stickers, they’re a way for our community to showcase the CBUS brand in fun, creative, and impactful ways.

We can’t wait to see the creativity of the Brand Marketing class in action this semester!
