It is common for aspiring accountants to only hear about Certified Public Accountant (CPA) career paths. At MSU Denver, we aim to educate our accounting students both inside and outside the classroom about the vast and extensive accounting profession.
To highlight some of these non-CPA options and encourage further exploration, the Department of Accounting hosted a “So You Don’t Want To Be a CPA…?” virtual event for current students, alumni, and prospective MPAcc applicants. Five of our faculty served as panelists covering five different avenues and certifications that could be pursued on their own or in tandem with the CPA.
