Affiliate Professor Robert Persichitte, MPAcc
Our faculty do not just teach, they bring current, real-world work into the classroom. The same experts who teach on campus also teach online, so you learn from the people doing the work.
For example, Affiliate Professor Robert Persichitte is a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner who oversees MSU Denver’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistant course, where students learn real-world accounting skills while providing free tax preparation to the community.
He has also worked in public-sector auditing and data analytics, using tools like Python to automate testing and identify risk indicators. That experience shows up in how he teaches students to think through messy, real financial questions with clarity and confidence.
In the Online Accounting B.S., you build the skills employers expect from an accounting bachelor’s degree, including how to record transactions, analyze financial statements, and communicate results clearly.
Your coursework covers the core areas of accounting, including intermediate accounting, cost accounting, accounting information systems, income tax, auditing and attestation, and advanced accounting.
