Q&A with Iman

What does a typical day look like for you during the semester?
A typical day for me is being on campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, and typically I will be studying on campus, and then during free time I’ll get food or work out.

What has your journey at MSU Denver been like?
My journey at MSU Denver. I am a transfer student, so this is only my second semester, but I really appreciate how supportive the professors are and the smaller classroom sizes. 

What are you passionate about within business?
I’m passionate about marketing and customer experience. I really love it when companies, you know, build authentic relationships with other people.

What are your future career plans?
After graduation, I plan on pursuing a career in sales or digital marketing.

What clubs, organizations, or events have you enjoyed the most at MSU Denver? 
I would say I have definitely enjoyed the career panels here and the speakers within the Tivoli, and just connecting with peers and understanding their experiences.

What advice would you give to new business students?
My advice would be to get involved early, build relationships with professors and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

What’s something that you wish you knew before you started college?
How important time management is. Really being able to balance school and work which can help reduce my overall stress.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the College of Business at MSU Denver?
My favorite thing is definitely how supportive and career-focused the college of business is. The professors genuinely want to see you succeed and prepare us for life after graduation.
