Journey Through Our Heritage became institutionalized at MSU Denver in 2010. Since this new beginning we have been fortunate enough to have our first JTOH senior graduate in 2011, Domonic Velarde was an Information Technology major and went on to become the administrator for Africana Studies here at MSU Denver.

2014 marks the year where our starting students graduated from JTOH. This was a landmark year for us with the graduation of nine JTOH Student mentors. Most of these mentors have been with us on this four year journey to enter their chosen careers.

These outstanding Mentors have been part of the Journey Through Our Heritage team and helped create the amazing indigenous program we have today.

We thank you.
