Public Transportation-RTD

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is Denver’s bus, rail, and light rail transit services to Denver, Boulder, and surrounding cities in Colorado.

RTD CollegePass For Fall Semester

MSU Denver and its campus partners are offering students a highly discounted RTD CollegePass, which provides unlimited access to local, regional and airport bus and rail services through Jan. 31, 2024. The pass costs just $150, or less than $25 per month, giving students the same level of service that costs most RTD monthly passholders $88 per month. Learn how to pay and active your CollegePass here.

Additionally, RTD is offering free fares to all customers ages 19 years or younger for one year, beginning Sept. 1 2023. Learn more about RTD’s Zero Fare for Youth program here.

RTD Rail System

The RTD rail system operates 365 days a year. Twelve rail lines service 113 miles of rail along the Denver’s North, East, Southeast, Southwest, and West rail corridors. RTD Bus System

When biking Denver remember to bring your SASS:

  • Safe: Wear a helmet.
  • Awareness: Auraria campus prohibits biking on pedestrian walkways. Not abiding by this may result in a ticket. Other locations may also have similar rules, be aware of the regulations in your surroundings.
  • Secure: Lock your bike with a u-lock (to help avoid theft).
  • Savvy: You can also combine your bike commute with public transit. RTD provides services to accommodate bicyclists.
