Bio

I am currently a Writing Adviser for the MSU Denver Writing Center and adjunct faculty at other universities in the Denver area. My composition interests look beyond alphabetic text by teaching and working in digital composition (videos, photo documentaries, infographics).

Educational Biography

I have my PhD in 20th Century American Literature with an emphasis is Modern Drama and Theory and certification in Women's Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

I have my MA in English Literature from University of Missouri St. Louis.

I have a BA in Mass Communications: Television/Radio and English, with a minor in French from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Research Interests

My dissertation was on dark humor in Southern Gothic literature,

I also do a lot of research on mass media, new media, and gender studies.
