MSU Denver

Student Academic Services encompasses Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and the Teaching Assistant programs at MSU Denver. The aim of these three programs is to provide students support with their academic needs. The MSU Denver Tutoring Center offers course-based, one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, hosts the Academic Skills Workshop Series, tutelage for placement exams and general academic skills training. The Supplemental Instruction (SI) program supports students enrolled in traditionally difficult courses. SI leaders (current students who have previously succeeded in the course) attend class sessions and also facilitate regularly scheduled group study sessions outside of class time. Teaching Assistants work with individual instructors to perform a variety of tasks some of which include setting up labs, uploading materials to Canvas, grading assignments, facilitating class discussions, or leading study groups.
