Bio

Dr. Michael Wray has over 25 years of hospitality education experience. He has held key food and beverage leadership positions with Chain and Private Resort hotels and clubs. His scholarly work is focused upon Teaching and Learning in Hospitality Education, public/private partnerships, and LGBTQ Hospitality Tourism. In addition to his higher education work, Dr. Wray is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the CO Army National Guard, working as the Joint Chief of Staff Division Chief for Logistics. His service to the community is oriented upon service learning within hospitality and his work in bringing the www.foodforthoughtdenver.org food insecurity organization to campus. During his time at Metro State, Dr. Wray has been instrumental in providing the vision, design and curriculum development for over 100 million in capital improvements to university facilities, including the university the Hotel, Hospitality Learning Center, and Tivoli Brewery partnerships.
