Research Interests
My research interests include the impact of diet on obesity and cardiometabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. I am also interested in the role of the gut microbiota as a mediating factor between dietary patterns and human health and disease.
Teaching Interests
I love blending my passions for biochemistry, metabolism, integrative physiology and nutrition science to help others appreciate the extraordinary ways that diet and other lifestyle factors can maintain and promote optimal health.
