Bio
Heidi Burke is a professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her primary area of expertise is early childhood intervention (birth to age 8), which she developed through her clinical practice working in early intervention and owning a private practice. One of her areas of scholarly interest is interprofessional collaborative practice (IPC) and education as IPC is a critical component of working in early intervention and other settings. Professor Burke is a PhD Candidate in the Inclusive Early Childhood Education program at the University of Colorado Denver, holds an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as an MS in Management and a BSBA in Management and Statistics from the University of Denver. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Colorado and clinically certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
