Research Interests

My reserach is currently focused on the evaluation of programming that serves self-supporting students, as well as students recieving public benefits, toward degree completion. Within this research, there is also a focus on the implementation of trauma-informed teaching and learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion perspectives to supplement the tanglibe resources provided to students.

Teaching Interests

My teaching interests include classes that focus on social justice and power, oppression and privilege. I enjoy the dialogue and learning process in these particular classes. In addition, most of my professional roles as a social worker have been focused on research and program evaluation, which I like to teach due to the multiple different projects I see implemented. It is exciting to watch a student find thier way through a topic that is difficult and often anxiety producing.
