Moving to Los Angeles in 1997, Darcy worked on a variety of projects in production management, including Paramount/CBS’ primetime series “JAG”, the independent feature film “Baggage” and Disney/Miramax’ “Clerks, the Animated Series” by independent filmmaker Kevin Smith.
In 2007, Darcy moved into teaching and in 2010 she started teaching at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Then, in 2015, she became the full-time Technical Writing & Editing Professor and has spoken at various conferences on topics ranging from the multi-generational diversity of our classrooms and workplaces to basic production practices for non-production professionals.
In 2019, Darcy earned the STC (Society for Technical Communication) certification as a Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC). This is the only recognized certification for this international association.
