Temporary closure for Project BProject B closures and relocations are underway in preparation of the project’s kick off on March 16. These closures and temporary moves will impact approximately 80% of students and dozens of faculty and staff members.

Through early August, construction activities will close:

  • 60+ classrooms
  • 100+ employee office spaces
  • Three dean’s offices
  • Multiple academic departments, programs and a clinic

See a full list of temporary office and department relocations by visiting the Facilities website.

To mitigate the impact, adjustments to the spring schedule have been made, including the shift to more eight-week courses in the first half of the semester and a transition to hybrid formats for some courses.

As construction continues, I would like to thank you all for understanding and graciously adjusting your work locations, flow and schedules during this tumultuous time. Additionally, I would like to thank the Facilities staff members and contractors who are making these upgrades possible. We are all looking forward to the completion of this project and to seeing and experiencing all the upgrades.

      • Tivoli Student Union Room 120 is being utilized by displaced personnel on a rotating basis.
      • Tivoli Student Union Room 127 is being used for advising and one-on-one meetings.

More about Project B

Project B is an Auraria Higher Education Center facilities improvement project that involves expansive upgrades to the heating and air–conditioning systems in Central and West classrooms. The project will replace the inefficient climate–control equipment in both buildings, which will ultimately make the buildings more comfortable and more conducive to working and learning.
