In gratitude for the hard work and dedication of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s approximately 3,000 professional employees, the University will continue to make Regional Transportation District EcoPasses free to faculty members and professional and classified staff members through Dec. 31, 2023.
“The University has covered the cost of RTD EcoPasses as an additional benefit for professional employees since July 2021, and I am proud that we can again offer this transportation option,” said Larry Sampler, chief operating officer and vice president for Administration. “Such added employee benefits are part of our continued commitment to and recognition of our people.”
For current EcoPass holders:
- The 2022 EcoPass will automatically renew and will be valid for free bus, light-rail and commuter-rail service through Dec. 31, 2023.
- Employees who already have the pass do not need to take further action to enjoy this benefit.
To acquire an EcoPass:
- Eligible employees may visit the Parking and Transportation Services Office (777 Lawrence Way, in the 7th Street Garage) Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to noon, to get a 2023 EcoPass. There is no online option.
- The pass is valid from Sunday, Jan. 1, through Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023.
- The Parking and Transportation office will be closed Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
