Since its launch in 2022, Women Entrepreneurs Week at MSU Denver has become a powerful platform for showcasing the stories, struggles, and successes of women who are redefining what it means to be an entrepreneur. Hosted each February by the Center for Entrepreneurship, the event features a series of virtual conversations with women business leaders who are guided not just by profit but by purpose.

These featured speakers were chosen because they embody a heart-centered approach to entrepreneurship. Their ventures are grounded in a strong sense of “why,” whether it’s building community, protecting the environment, or creating meaningful personal services. Each story highlights the idea that business success is more than a bottom line. It is about passion, purpose, and the impact that one inspired person can make.

For students, this event goes far beyond passive learning. As part of their coursework, students engage directly with the entrepreneurs by reflecting on their stories, asking thoughtful questions, and offering meaningful feedback. These reflections are then shared with the speakers, creating a full-circle moment that honors the vulnerability and insight shared during each session.

The result is a week that energizes and educates. Students walk away with a new understanding of what it means to take risks, to trust intuition, and to grow something from the ground up, even when the path isn’t clear. And the speakers, in turn, leave feeling seen, heard, and valued.

Though the event currently operates without a formal sponsor, its impact is undeniable. Women Entrepreneurs Week is a celebration of authenticity, resilience, and the power of storytelling, a true reflection of MSU Denver’s commitment to inclusive and transformational education.

As we look ahead to future events, the Center for Entrepreneurship hopes to continue expanding this initiative, elevating even more voices and deepening the connection between classroom learning and real-world inspiration.
