The MSU Denver College of Business and the Department of Accounting proudly celebrated their Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAcc) graduates during last week’s Hooding Celebration, a meaningful tradition that marks the completion of their graduate studies.

Faculty, family members, and friends gathered to recognize the hard work, resilience, and dedication of our students. The ceremony highlighted not only academic excellence, but also the strong sense of community that defines the CBUS experience.

A Ceremony Marked by Meaningful Connections

This year’s Hooding Celebration honored the achievements and journeys of graduates as they crossed the stage surrounded by faculty, family, and friends. The ceremony reflected the strong connections students build throughout their time at MSU Denver and celebrated the accomplishments that brought them to this important milestone.

MBA students were hooded by Dr. Alex Padilla, while MPAcc students were hooded by Dr. Letitia Pleis.

MBA Program Highlights

The MBA program celebrated 27 graduates during the Spring 2026 Hooding Celebration, adding to the growing network of CBUS alumni.

Several MBA graduates were also recognized with the Loyalty Award, which honors students who earned both their undergraduate and graduate degrees from MSU Denver. This year, 10 MBA graduates received the award.

MPAcc Program Highlights

The Master of Professional Accountancy program recognized 13 graduates during this year’s ceremony.

The program also celebrated students who continued their academic journey at MSU Denver through both undergraduate and graduate education. This year, 6 MPAcc graduates received the Loyalty Award in recognition of their continued commitment to the university.
