On November 5, the College of Business hosted a dynamic Career Exploration event that connected students directly with professionals from across the field. The event featured 11 speakers across three panels, drawing in about 40 students eager to learn from real-world experts.

The first panel highlighted two seasoned HR professionals who shared strategic guidance on résumés, job searches, and interview best practices. Joining them was a former MSU Denver student who offered a valuable perspective—providing an honest look at his own job search experience and what he now looks for when interviewing candidates at his current firm.

Panels two and three brought together eight senior-level professionals, including two additional MSU Denver alumni, who discussed their career paths, current roles, and lessons learned along the way. Their stories underscored the diverse opportunities within the business world and showcased the many ways students can grow into leadership roles.

Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Many said they appreciated hearing directly from professionals at different stages in their careers and gaining clarity on possible career trajectories. Even after the formal sessions ended, all speakers stayed to network, answer questions, and share their contact information—creating meaningful connections that extended the value of the event.

Events like this help students envision their future, build confidence, and start forming the networks that will support their success after graduation. We look forward to hosting even more opportunities for students to engage with industry leaders throughout the year.
