The College of Business hosted their Fall 2025 Beta Gamma Sigma Induction Ceremony and Senior Sendoff! This event was the most successful one hosted so far with 10 new inductees, 33 new memberships in total, 6 graduating seniors, and a great overall turnout of friends, families, faculty, and staff.

The ceremony celebrated our high-achieving business students as they were welcomed into the society. New members received a certificate and a BGS pin to mark their achievement. We also recognized graduating BGS members with a medal and matching cord to wear on graduation day, symbols of excellence that reflect their hard work and bright futures ahead.

We’re so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see the doors it opens for them in the future.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society for students in business programs accredited by AACSB International where only the top 10% of undergraduates and 20% of graduate students are eligible to join.

Being a member of BGS gives students access to career design programs, professional networking, and other development opportunities. It offers a worldwide network of professionals and alumni chapters to connect with as well as plenty of leadership opportunities through programs like the Global Leadership Summit and the Ethical Leadership Certification Program. Not to mention the incredible academic recognition that comes with a membership in BGS, as it’s the highest recognition a business student can receive from an AACSB-accredited school, which only 6% of business schools worldwide have this accreditation.

“As a BGS member and graduating senior myself, I always feel immense pride and satisfaction heading to this event, and especially this one where I received my medal and chord. BGS has been a great facility for me to turn to where I feel valued for the hard work I’ve put in, find resources I need for my career, and meet other like-minded students from different walks of life. Thank you BGS and CBUS for always providing students the support they need and continuously sharing resources for their disposal. ” – Nour Itani

Our amazing faculty advisor for this program, Dr. Maria Quijada, is  always aspiring to bring forth the mission of BGS to new MSU Denver business students and expand this society’s outreach further. Special thanks to the following faculty and staff who contributed immensely to this event’s success: Dr. Ethan Waples, Pam Packer, Bill Herman, Shannon O’Neill, Clare Fidler, Laurie Nakauchi, and Lindsey Wadle.
