Ready to find out what MSU Denver can do for you? Weโve got you covered.
The CCWSC has identified shifting the culture of child welfare work as a priority. We recognize the need to lead from a strengths perspective and to honor the excellent work of our colleagues, field instructors, graduates, and students. Through telling these stories, we aim to support a new collective consciousness about the importance of the work and the impact that professional excellence has on our children, families, and communities.
Regardless of the award, the CCWSC values advancing equity, resilience, humor, creativity, and dedication. We also want to elevate the core values of social work (service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence).
This award is for a field instructor or task supervisor who supports CCWSC scholars in completing their required internship at IV-E Colorado agency. (Please note that this instructor does NOT need to have been a scholar themselves or a social worker.) This award recognizes for the instructors role in supporting and inspiring students as they learn more about child welfare practice. This instructor is someone who helps scholars build confidence and competence in our field and a vision for a career with an impact.
This award is for a scholar who has graduated from their social work program and is still part of the Colorado child welfare community. This scholar demonstrates excellence in their commitment to families and their success. The scholar lives the values of social work and is leading by example in their career. Both BSSW and MSW graduates are eligible for this award.
This award is for a county agency that is a leader in creating meaningful opportunities and experiences for child welfare scholars and future professionals. This agency is responsive to the changing needs of students, social work programs, and child welfare practices. They work with internal and external partners to advance the field of child welfare. They promote social work values and create career pathways for alumni.
This award is for a state, county or university CCWSC partner for going above and beyond in their involvement with the program. This individual supports the development of internship opportunities, is actively involved in the CCWSC activities, and advocates to enhance internship experiences throughout the state of Colorado. (Please note, this individual does not need to have been a scholar themselves or possess a social work degree.)
