Ready to find out what MSU Denver can do for you? We’ve got you covered.
The Generative AI Taskforce (GAIT) was established by the MSU Denver Provost to address the emerging challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence (AI), particularly generative AI, presents in the educational sphere.
GAIT is responsible for exploring how AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, can be used responsibly in education to ensure the authenticity of student work and to integrate AI effectively into academic settings. The taskforce consists of members from a wide range of disciplines and meets biweekly. Their goal is to develop strategic recommendations for university policies that govern the use of generative AI in teaching, learning, and assessment. This work is crucial to ensure that as AI becomes increasingly integrated into tools and software across the university, its adoption is ethical and enhances the educational experience.
GAIT maintains a close working relationship with the University Provost and other MSU Denver leaders, regularly providing them with updates and expert advice. This collaboration enables university leadership to make well-informed decisions regarding AI policy and strategy, ensuring alignment with the university’s objectives and the maintenance of academic integrity at MSU Denver.
