Biography

I was born and educated through high school in New Jersey; attended Colby College in Waterville, ME; graduate school and after in Iowa. Took a full-time visitng position at Metro in 2004.

Research Interests

Primarily the philosophy of G. E. Moore. His rather unique take on some of the major issues in philosophy are insufficiently understood and appreciated. His views also intersect in important ways with Wittgesntein's, by acclaim the most important philosopher of the twentieth century. I have also written for conferences on various other topics.

Teaching Interests

I have taught many courses at both intro and advanced levels. My interests can be said to be mainly classical. But I also teach contemporary philosophers.
