Purpose: The purpose of this intellectual property policy (the “IP Policy”) is to clearly explain the ownership structure of intellectual property developed by members of the MSU Denver community. MSU Denver seeks to foster academic freedom and to encourage the free exchange of ideas. In accordance with these ideals, it is important to adequately protect Intellectual Property and have an agreed upon ownership structure.
Scope: This policy applies to and governs all University Personnel and students. Paid student employees and paid student interns are governed in the same manner as other University Personnel.
