Purpose: Artificial Intelligence (AI), including generative AI and machine learning (ML) systems, is increasingly present in higher education and professional environments. At MSU Denver, we recognize that AI tools are being used across teaching and learning, research, administrative functions, and community engagement. This resource landing page provides responsible use principles and expectations that guide all members of the MSU Denver community.
Scope: Artificial Intelligence guidelines apply to MSU Denver students, faculty, staff, administrators, researchers, contractors, and vendors when AI systems are used in University contexts (instruction, assignments, assessment, research, advising, operations, procurement, and communications). MSU Denver guidelines do not govern independent personal use of AI technologies outside University activities unless institutional data or resources are involved.
