This past weekend, twelve outstanding members of the Pi Sigma Epsilon Eta Upsilon Chapter at MSU Denver traveled to Kent State University for the 2025 Pi Sigma Epsilon Fall Regional Conference. The event brought together students from across the country for a powerful weekend of learning, networking, and professional development. They were surrounded by motivated peers and industry professionals, creating an atmosphere filled with energy, ambition, and opportunity that made the experience both inspiring and transformative for everyone who attended.

Competition Success

Throughout the conference, the chapter members participated in workshops, engaged with employers, and competed in multiple events designed to sharpen their sales, communication, and leadership skills. All twelve members took part in the Pi Sigma Epsilon Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon, where they demonstrated their sales abilities and product knowledge in a real-world simulated environment. This year’s competition produced incredible results for the team. They were extremely proud of Zach Rhoades, who earned the Best Video Call award for the second year in a row, solidifying his reputation as one of the top performers at the conference. They also celebrated Nick Russo for receiving an Honorable Mention in his Pro-Am competition room, an achievement that reflects his preparation and skill. One of their competitors also placed in the top twenty-four out of one hundred twenty-eight participants during their first-ever solo competition, a remarkable accomplishment that speaks to the dedication and talent within the chapter.

The learning extended far beyond the competition. The students were grateful to industry leaders such as Andrew Shamer and Mike Schwab from Rite-Hite and Arbon Equipment Corporation for sharing insights about their careers and offering guidance that helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional application. Their willingness to invest in the next generation of sales professionals had a meaningful impact on the chapter. They also expressed deep appreciation for Clay Daughtrey and April Schofield, whose exceptional mentorship, leadership, and support were instrumental in preparing the team for the event. Clay’s additional involvement as an on-site judge demonstrated his ongoing commitment to helping the chapter grow and succeed.

Beyond the scheduled programming, one of the most rewarding aspects of the weekend was the camaraderie and teamwork displayed by the Eta Upsilon members. Traveling together, supporting each other during competitions, and representing MSU Denver with professionalism and enthusiasm made the experience both memorable and impactful. They strengthened bonds within the chapter, connected with other PSE members from across the country, met potential employers, and absorbed insights from industry experts. The passion and drive shown by every member served as a reminder of what makes their chapter so special.

The chapter is excited to bring the knowledge, skills, and inspiration gained at Kent State back to campus and continue building on the momentum they created together. Here’s to growth, connection, and the incredible journey ahead for the Pi Sigma Epsilon Eta Upsilon Chapter at MSU Denver.
