The Department of Physics offers a Bachelor of Science degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Minor in Physics.  We also offer a Bachelor of Arts with Secondary Licensure for future STEM teachers.

  1. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) – The B.S. degree provides the most rigorous physics education. This degree suitably prepares our students for either graduate school in Physics or Astronomy or for a wide variety of technical industrial jobs.
  2. Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) – The B.A. degree provides a solid foundation in physics, but it allows room for students to couple the degree with another degree such as engineering, math, chemistry, or even business. This degree is also appropriate for students interested in pursuing technical journalism, law school, or medical school.
  3. Bachelor of Arts with secondary science teacher licensure concentration – This degree is designed for students who want to teach science at the secondary level.
