Students Interested in Hybrid Programs

At MSU Denver, a hybrid program is any undergraduate program (major, minor, concentration, or certificate) or any graduate program (degree or certificate) that offers at least 50% of its core courses online at least once each academic year. Core courses don’t include general education requirements, minor requirements within a major, or electives, but these are often available online as well.

How to Enroll in Hybrid Programs

Students at MSU Denver are admitted into either in-person or online programs. No hybrid program admission option exists. We provide the hybrid program distinction to highlight programs that a students can complete with a combination of in-person and online courses. If you would like to pursue a hybrid program, apply to the in-person version of the program then register for the online courses you are interested in.

Accreditation

MSU Denver is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the highest level of accreditation in the United States. Many of our individual programs have additional accreditations through governing bodies in those particular fields of study. The courses you complete online will appear on your transcript just as on-campus courses do, and the diploma you earn as an online student is identical to the diploma earned by MSU Denver campus-based students.

Adapting to Your Ever-changing Educational Needs

At MSU Denver, we adapt to your educational needs based on your ever-changing life. Sometimes an on-campus course is exactly what you need and sometimes an online course is the only thing that will work with your current schedule. Hybrid degree programs at MSU offer at least 50% of required courses in a fully online format.
