From Germany to South Korea, MSU Denver welcomes students studying on J1 visas to study in exchange student programs at MSU Denver on the Auraria Campus. Want to study at MSU Denver from outside the United States on the J1 visa? You’ll need to have your study abroad coordinator or faculty member at your home university nominate you by e-mailing the Executive Director of the Office of International Studies Dr. Thobhani at [email protected].

1. As an international student, what tuition or fees do I need to pay? You will need to pay the “Mandatory Fees” outlined in the Bursar’s Office fees for non-resident (including international) students, depending on the amount of credit hours you take.
2. Do I need to have insurance as an international student? Yes, if you don’t have existing coverage, you will need to pay for health insurance through the Auraria Health Center. If you have existing coverage, you may be eligible for the Health Insurance Waiver.
3. Do I apply to MSU Denver using the general application?No, do not apply to MSU Denver directly, as this could delay or possibly hinder your admission to MSU Denver.
