Women in Aviation (WAI) envisions a world where the sky is open to all, where aviation and aerospace dreams are possible without barriers.

The aviation industry needs more women to pursue aviation careers to access the breadth of talent needed to meet our current—and growing—workforce challenges. Attracting, retaining, and advancing women in aviation is critical to the aviation industry’s safety and ability to innovate.
The strategic focus is to provide programs that support our members at every stage of their lives in aviation and aerospace. The organization encourages, empowers, and educates all those whose interests, lives and work involve aviation and aerospace regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities, or point of view. We know with certainty that our shared passion for aviation transcends any differences among us.
