Reimagine possible with MSU Denver.
MSU Denver is a leader in developing mutually beneficial industry partnerships and impactful philanthropic investment opportunities. Our university community is committed to working toward our students’ academic and career goals, while having immediate impact across Colorado.
The Corporate and Foundation Relations team brings a collaborative and integrated approach to developing partnerships based on shared mission, common vision, and innovative spirit.
Engage with MSU Denver to solve business challenges and gain a competitive edge through diverse talent pipelines, innovative projects, and thought-provoking research, as well as strong academic programs, continuing education opportunities, or strategic philanthropic support.
MSU Denver transforms the lives of students, serves as a dauntless leader in higher education, and boldly advances the well-being of metro Denver communities. Serving nearly 20,000 students each year, MSU Denver educates more undergraduate Coloradans than any other college or university in the state.
Over 85% of MSU Denver students rely on full- or part-time employment while they are attending school and often those jobs are not directly related to their career trajectories. DaVita invested in a cohort of MSU Denver healthcare students who will fill roles as Patient Care Technicians in DaVita facilities across Metro Denver.
The students gain relevant experience in the field; financial support while attending school; and mentoring, advising and wraparound services necessary for retention in school. DaVita fills entry-level positions while developing teammates with strong affinity for the company and a deep understanding of the company and its culture.
MSU Denver and FirstBank share the core belief in increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, that everyone should have opportunity in education and in career development. That’s why FirstBank has invested in the FirstBank Graduate Assistant in the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Leadership.
This unique investment specifically supports MSU Denver’s minority and underserved students through advising services, programming, and community-based outreach – programming proven to help students achieve their academic and career goals. And FirstBank staff will be front and center helping students on their journeys.
Between one-half to two-thirds of all school-aged children experience trauma, and more than 20% of children have multiple traumatic experiences. To help new teachers enter the workforce prepared to address the critical needs of their students, the Buell Foundation provided a lead gift in support of the School of Education’s Trauma Informed Practices (TIP) program.
This unique program builds the capacity of teacher candidates to develop resiliency and understand and address trauma triggers in school environments.
To address equity in the healthcare workforce, the Health Careers Opportunity Program provides scholarships and stipends, training in cultural responsiveness and emerging health issues, job shadowing and mentoring, and proactive advising to undocumented undergraduate students from underserved backgrounds that are interested in healthcare careers.
“At the Colorado Health Foundation, we believe all Coloradans deserve to have health within reach – regardless of national origin, racial identity or immigration status. MSU Denver exemplifies a clear and compelling commitment to advancing health equity.”
