Capps Family Endowment

The Fund is established to provide scholarships to Metropolitan State University of Denver students.

The Capps Family Endowment is established to honor the strength of women, their leadership skills, perseverance, and ongoing contributions to MSU Denver and the community at large. This Fund is created to celebrate all women and to honor Bobbi Capps. During Bobbi’s time at MSU Denver she was raising her son with her husband, working full time, and earning consistently high grades. In her final two semesters she fought stage three cervical cancer and won! When she graduated in 2015 with a 3.96 GPA, she became the first person in her family to earn a bachelor’s degree. She continues to excel in both her personal and professional life – all with might and grace. Like so many women, she continually balances competing priorities to achieve the goals she’s set for her life. She is passionate about supporting the lives of all women who have focus, drive, and ability to reach their educational goals. A dear friend of Bobbi’s, Tyler Antikainen, initially created an expendable scholarship to honor Bobbi and further the educational goals of women at MSU Denver. The creation of this Fund expands that honor so that it exists in perpetuity.
