Bio
Dr. Stuart R. Monroe has received a bachelor’s Mechanical Engineering degree from Penn State University (1960), an MBA from Brigham Young University (1965) and a Ph.D. Management from University of Arizona (1985). Dr. Monroe is currently a tenured senior full professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver (1990 – present) having served 7 years as CIS department chair (1992-1999). Dr. Monroe was a Senior Fulbright Scholar in Malaysia (1999-2000), Swaziland (2006-2007) and a visiting professor at Aksum University, Ethiopia (2010-2011). Dr. Monroe has worked 14 years in industry (1962-1976) and 36 years in higher education (1976 – 2012).
Dr. Monroe is academically qualified. During his career has published 10 high quality journal articles, 31 peer reviewed conference proceedings and has numerous invited presentations. Since fall 2008 he has published in The Ethiopian Journal of Business and Economics – EJBE and twice in International Journal of Management & Strategy - (IJMS). Other professional development activities include several conference proceedings.
