Bio

BackgroundEducation:
Master 's Degree in Teaching ASL (University of Northern Colorado)Master's Degree in Special Education, Severe Needs: Hearing (University of Northern Colorado) Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Science (University of Wyoming)
Kimberly Harris has been teaching American Sign Language classes since 2015 at MSU-Denver. She also has taught other colleges such as Front Range Community College, and University of Colorado, Boulder. Teaching has been her passion for years regardless of the subject. ASL is her favorite of all subjects.
She has two full grown kids, Cameron and Maddie along with one grandson, River and one hearing dog.
When she is not teaching she enjoys hiking in the mountains and hanging out with some Deaf friends on the weekends. She also loves to read books and research new information about ASL.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a learning atmosphere, which will foster communications, academic and personal growth for the university students, thereby allowing them to participate fully and effectively function in both professional and social activities.
