Ms. Richards has been an Affiliate Faculty in Computer Information Systems since 2003. In 2012, she was awarded a MSUD Certificate of Excellence for her dedication and commitment as an instructor to the First Year Success Program. She is an independent management consultant leading teams to develop strategies and solve business problems for small to medium companies. Working with various platforms and architectures, topologies and business applications, her strategy is making "change" work for the organization's personnel. Thereby, through applied knowledge-transfer, they understand their mission and add value to the organization. Functional expertise includes leading conversion teams and prioritizing requirements and targeting elements for the project. She advises and supervises implementation of enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, SAP, Internet Access/Cloud Computing, Security and Disaster Recovery. Stabilization of distributed computing platforms are a specialty. Clients include retail, automotive, child care facilities, construction, accounting and telephony organizations.She is a member of the National Association of Communication Systems Engineers since 1995, serving as Chair of the Data Networking Board of Standards for three years. She is a Certified Network Consultant and a Certified Netware Engineer.

Teaching Interests
Instruct individuals in technical subjects such as computer fundamentals, software and business systems. Her strategy for teaching is making the material worthwhile for the student and to keep their interest, train and motivate students through a respect for each individual and actively listen and be open for feedback. I try to make online learning interesting and enjoyable. Judy has over 20 years technical (systems/software) experience and is President of Richards and Associates a consulting firm.
Office Hours
Office Hours vary. I teach different days and times every semester. I try to make my office hours prior to my first class or after my last class on the days I am teaching.
