Bio

Jose Miguel Plata Ramirez earned a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Culture at the University of Iowa. He was previously a foreign language professor at the Universidad de Los Andes in Merida, Venezuela.

Research Interests

Dr. Plata-Ramirez has developed his research in Second/Foreign language learning processes and L2 writing.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Plata-Ramirez's current teaching responsibilities emphasize culturally and linguistically diverse students' literacy processes.
