Bio
Jordan Hillman has served as a Lecturer in Economics at Metropolitan State University of Denver since Fall 2025. At MSU Denver, he has taught Business and Economic Forecasting online, Econometrics, and Principles of Microeconomics. He brings more than eight years of teaching experience since completing his master’s degree.
Over the course of his career, Hillman has taught in a wide range of educational settings, from working with young learners in Vietnam to supporting graduate instruction in Texas and teaching economics at MSU Denver. These varied experiences have shaped his conviction that effective teaching begins with genuine care for students and a deep commitment to the subject matter. He has found that students learn best when they know their instructor is invested not only in the content of the course, but also in their intellectual growth, effort, and long-term success.
His teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that economics is most meaningful when students can connect theory to the choices, constraints, institutions, and policy questions that shape everyday life.
