Research Interests

I am interested in the population dynamics of and feeding ecology of marine and freshwater benthic invertebrates. I am currently investigating the linkages between crayfish diets and benthic prey assemblages, and the effects of trematode infection on the stable isotope ratios of snails.

Teaching Interests

I enjoy teaching both introductory biology and upper-division ecology and secondary education courses. I particularly enjoy helping pre-service science teachers become skilled, confident, and effective educators.
