Bio

I am a native German speaker (hailing from Berlin's east side) and moved to the US when I was 21 years old; over the past 15 years, I've lived in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Colorado. I have been working for and with a number of refugee and literacy programs as well as ESL college programs and writing centers. I am excited to have found my way to an inclusive, supportive institution such as MSU, and I love Denver!

Educational Biography

I received my English Literature undergraduate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and went on to complete my Master's in Applied Linguistics at UW as well. (Go Badgers!) In other words, I get pretty excited by all things language, and I have a soft spot for the Upper Midwest. Have a favorite word to share? Send it my way! Want to talk at great length about adjective clauses or present participles? Stop by my office!
