Bio
Dr. Buckley began her career as a speech and language pathologist upon completing a Master of Science in Communication Disorders at Colorado State University in 1989. She received a PhD in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in 2015.

Research Interests
Current research project focus on inclusive practices, collaboration and communication in educational settings. One project involves a state-wide training for educators supporting communicative engagement. The Social Communication and Engagement Triad (SCET) is a collaborative effort with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and the University of Northern Colorado.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Buckley has worked with children, families, and educational teams, to improve access and meaningful engagement in every aspect of life. MSU Denver, her goal is tp prepare k-12 teachers to collaboratively meet the needs of all learners. Specific areas of interest include inclusive education, Autism Spectrum Disorders, students with significant support needs, augmentative and alternative communication, and educational technology.
