Bio
I am a lucky and happy person; in part, because I have had a career full of meaning and purpose. I began my professional career as a Registered Nurse which provided me with the rare opportunity to be involved with individuals' at the most intimate moments of their lives. The masters in education led me to move from clinical nursing into teaching nursing and from there into teaching holistic health and integrative healthcare at the university level. In 2006 I developed the BS in Integrative Healthcare program at MSUDenver, the first of it's kind in the U.S. In my role at Metro, I have the opportunity to assist individuals in the search for their own meaningful career. I love teaching and love the students at Metro. They are hardworking, interesting, and diverse individuals, and I really enjoy getting to know them. I am a full Professor and the Coordinator of the Integrative Healthcare program. I have received many teaching awards and advising awards, probably because I truly care about my students and believe in unconditional love and acceptance. When not teaching, I'm usually outside working in my garden, traveling, cycling, spending time at my house in France, or playing with my adorable and funny granddaughter.
