Anne Hovinen MS, RDN is the DPD Director and Lecturer at Metropolitan State University of Denver. I earned an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Colorado School of Mines and went on to earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University. I enjoy the outdoors, spending my free time with my 2 children, traveling, gardening, cooking, reading and Zumba.

Teaching Interests

My main focuses are the Medical Nutrition Therapy courses. I have been practicing Medical Nutrition Therapy for about 15 years and have enjoyed teaching that long as well. Along with Dr. Jennifer Bolten, I have given numerous workshops to nutrition professionals on Malnutrition Focused Physical Exam.
