Dr. Andrea (Andy) Thyrring (they/she), is an leader, educator, and strategist whose work focuses on strengths-based and power-conscious systems change. They have consulted at 4 national organizations, 3 local businesses, and offer ongoing coaching for diverse clients. Their work is bolstered by 15+ years experience providing program leadership rooted in curriculum approaches and measurable success.

Research Interests

Dr. Thyrring's research focuses on the intersection of power, identity, and the prevention of harm through a trauma-informed lens. Specifically, Andy is interested in change-based leadership and transformational opportunities.

Teaching Interests

Andy uses critical consciousness and reflexivity to build upon learners' intelligences. Rather than teach at learners, Andy believes that teaching and learning is a reciprocal relationship; learning with those in the room to co-construct knowledge yields rich results. Dr. Thyrring uses engaging activities and learner-driven conversation in all trainings and classes.
