In the Department of Art at MSU Denver, Adrienne works as Art & Tech Support Staff person with University faculty, staff and students to design, develop, and implement intermedia video, web, and multimedia-based technology solutions. This includes faculty and student support; audio/video production (planning, recording, editing, and publishing); motion graphics production; web consulting & development; online course development; social media management; and web and multimedia instruction.
Adrienne Christy initially joined the Metro State Web Team in 2005 as a Graphic Designer, while studying in the Department of Journalism & Media Production. On earning a Certificate in Multimedia Production, she worked as a Web Producer for the Communications & Marketing Office [1 year]; as Web & Multimedia Developer for the Web & Instructional Technology (WIT) team [3 years]; Video & Multimedia Developer for the Educational Technology Center (ETC) and Center for Teaching Learning & Design (CTLD) [8 years]; and Art & Tech Support Staff in the Department of Art [since 2018].
Previously, Adrienne earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Sociology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and was then employed for five years in both web course development and quality assurance for eCollege, a Denver company that partnered with higher education institutions to power online learning programs.
A passion for interpersonal communication and global understanding drives her to travel and meet people around the world, intending to bridge divides and connect realities. Adrienne taught English in South Korea for 6 months and recorded a documentary for MSU Denver in Ethiopia for 5 weeks. She also explored Thailand for a half-year and has made friends and relished amazing locales in Switzerland, Iceland, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Costa Rica (and even spent unforgettable weekends in Malaysia and Japan) on a self-funded, shoe-string budget.
