The grant-funded Voter Engagement Student Ambassador project is back, and four ambassadors are ready to help students better understand the voting process.

VESAs are Metropolitan State University of Denver students who partake in nonpartisan events and classroom visits at the University, Community College of Denver and the University of Colorado Denver to highlight the importance of being civically engaged. Classroom visits include a five- to 10-minute presentation on upcoming elections, how to register to vote and other ways to stay civically engaged.

With the support of the tri-institutional Auraria Voter Engagement Committee, VESAs will be available to visit classrooms and will host events and information tables across campus in anticipation of the upcoming election cycles:

  • Nov. 7 (state coordinated election)
  • March 5 (presidential primary)
  • June 25 (state primary)
  • Nov. 5, 2024 (presidential election)

Elections are coming up soon, and having a VESA speak to your students is a great way to increase voter turnout.

Interested in having a VESA speak to your class about voting?
