According to 9News.com, Denver’s temperature dropped to 24 degrees below zero Dec. 22, “the coldest recorded temperature in the city in exactly 32 years.” As Coloradans face record-cold temperatures and higher-than-average snowfall, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s University Policy Advisory Council members plan to discuss a proposed University Closure Policy.

The proposal is championed by the offices of Academic Affairs, Facilities Management, Human Resources and University Communications and provides guidance to MSU Denver students, staff members and faculty members on how in-person and online/remote/hybrid courses, work and events should continue during a late start, early close or full-day campus closure due to severe weather, another emergency or a holiday closure.
