When prospective students are considering transferring between schools, one of the top questions is: “How will my credits transfer?”

Metropolitan State University of Denver has purchased Transferology, the leading tool to help answer this question. Transferology is a widely used website for students to see how credits will transfer, which programs a university offers and pathway guides to ensure that they are staying on the right track.

Benefits of Transferology

Membership in Transferology gives institutions of higher education a nationwide presence for recruiting students and a venue for publicizing transfer-articulation information. Transferology assists advisors, students and parents in making educated decisions when transferring credits. Students can enter coursework, instantly see how courses transfer to member institutions and proactively evaluate transfer scenarios. The tool enables students to self-serve and reduces call and email volume.

Benefits to students

Transferology allows a student to input their previous college courses and college-credit-bearing exams to see how those courses will transfer to MSU Denver. This tool helps answer frequently asked questions that occur as part of the onboarding process and gives peace of mind to students who want to ensure that they retain their hard-earned credits.

Students can access the website using an MSU Denver link where information about University courses and programs will be the featured information. Staff and faculty members are encouraged to promote the MSU Denver-specific Transferology link when interacting with students.

Benefits to employees

MSU Denver employees can also benefit from the Transferology Lab as an easy way to see how courses transfer to MSU Denver. Courses that do not match MSU Denver’s equivalency database are identified and can be routed to faculty for review. The Transferology Lab allows advisors and recruiters another point of contact in the prospective student-recruitment process.
