Join fellow Roadrunners via Microsoft Teams today from 10-11:30 a.m., to kick off the 2022-23 session of the Metropolitan State University of Denver Staff Senate.
The Staff Senate is dedicated to enhancing the professional lives of University staff members — including all administrative, classified and student employees — ensuring collaboration with the MSU Denver community, advocating for staff opportunities and improving the staff experience through regular engagement at every level of the University.
One of the first items on this month’s agenda is an opportunity to meet the newly elected team of dedicated representatives. An updated list of Senate officers, division senators and at-large senators, including email addresses, can be found in the Staff Senate Directory.
In past years, the Staff Senate has amassed an impressive list of accomplishments as officers and senators work on behalf of MSU Denver staff members through a lens of representation, voice and advocacy. Highlights include authoring and co-sponsoring the Staff Alternative Work Arrangements policy, which was officially approved in April; establishing seats with the University’s highest-level decision-making bodies, such as the President’s Cabinet; advocating for equitable salary increases and bonuses; and more.
Everyone in the Staff Senate looks forward to working together to build upon its mission to create an inclusive and solution-focused community where all Roadrunners rise.
