Dear Roadrunners,

Anticipating severe winter weather and extreme temperatures, Metropolitan State University of Denver will move to remote work on Thursday, Dec. 22, and Friday, Dec. 23. Additionally, the University will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 23.

All offices should prepare to offer remote services starting Thursday through noon on Friday. No walk-up services will be available. Visit the Department of Facilities website for more information on how to access remote services.  Only essential employees, who have been pre-identified, should report to campus. Please reference the University’s Severe Weather Procedures webpage for updates and more information.

The University will suspend business activities at noon on Friday ahead of the holiday. The University will resume normal services and business hours Tuesday, Jan. 3, following our annual winter break, and classes will resume Jan. 17.

On a personal note, thank you for all your hard work this year. The achievements and commitment of our students, faculty members and administrators are recognized and deeply appreciated. Please enjoy your much-deserved winter break, and if you haven’t already, be sure to check out this holiday greeting from President Janine Davidson, Ph.D.

Have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season,

Larry Sampler

Vice President for Administration, Finance and Facilities and Chief Operating Officer
