Faculty and staff members as well as student employees are invited to save the date for the 2023 Professional Development Conference on May 23.

What does work-life balance mean for Roadrunners? 

The Covid-19 pandemic spurred many employees across all organizations and industries to prioritize their purpose and value at work and in their personal lives. As Metropolitan State University of Denver employees continue to seek their new and more meaningful “normal,” the Learning and Development team is working to integrate balance into day-to-day routines and help employees find opportunities and outcomes that lead to happy, productive lives.  

Call for proposals 

If you have a creative idea around the theme of work-life balance and are interested in presenting (in person), keep your eyes open in late January/early February for an announcement to submit proposals. Presentations will be 45 minutes in length.

Anticipated schedule 

The tentative event schedule will include 12 presenters plus kiosks/tables, offering attendees hands-on experiences such as yoga, basic bicycle maintenance and wine tasting.    

  • 8:30 a.m.: Continental breakfast  
  • 9-9:45 a.m.: Keynote speaker  
  • 10 a.m.-noon: 45-minute presentations  
  • Noon: Lunch  
  • Times TBD: Afternoon sessions 
  • Time TBD: Fireside Chat with President Janine Davidson, Ph.D.   
  • 2 p.m.: Headshot sessions
